Creating 3D Voxel Characters — One Cube at a Time

I’ve been working on making 26 fully 3D characters for our game using MagicVoxel, and it’s been one of the most challenging but rewarding parts of the project.
I had never done voxel modeling before, so learning how to build characters from tiny cubes in 3D space took time. But now I really enjoy it. Each character is different — I come up with their personality, their look, and then build them from scratch: body, clothes, hair, details — everything.
It’s not copy-paste work. I spend time on each model, making sure they feel unique and fit into the game world. I check how they look from every angle, tweak their proportions, and make sure their vibe matches the story.
It’s a lot of effort, but seeing them come to life makes it all worth it!
