About Me

Welcome to My Titanic Game Development Blog ππ’
Hi! My name is Diana, and I’m so excited to welcome you to my blog, where I’ll be sharing everything about the development of our Titanic game. Here, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at how ideas turn into code, art, and eventually into a game based on real historical events.
But that’s not all!
π My blog will also be available on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook, where I’ll post videos, updates, and sneak peeks of our development process. Follow along to see how our ideas come to life in real-time, and join us as we build this exciting project! π₯πΈπ±
I’m 17 years old, originally from Ukraine, and currently studying Computer Science at the University of Limerick. I’ve always been fascinated by how games are created—how a simple idea can become an entire world where players experience unforgettable emotions. History has always held a special place in my heart, and the story of Titanic is one that deeply inspires me. It’s not just about a shipwreck; it’s a story of people, dreams, and a moment in time that we are working hard to bring to life.
I’m not doing this alone. I’m part of an amazing team called ShoSho?, and together we are working to recreate the atmosphere of that era—the elegance of the ship, the grandeur of the early 1900s, and the emotional depth of Titanic’s journey. We pay close attention to every detail, hoping that players will feel like they’ve stepped aboard the legendary liner.
Our goal isn’t just to create a game; we want to give players a chance to relive history. We want them to feel connected to the past, to walk through the decks, experience the lifestyle of the time, and immerse themselves in the emotions of that fateful voyage.
In this blog, I’ll share everything about our process: from the initial brainstorming sessions to the final touches. Expect posts about design, coding, historical research, and personal reflections on what it’s like to work on such a meaningful project.
Thank you for stopping by! I hope you’ll enjoy following our journey. Welcome aboard! π

From Trading Homework to Writing Code
Back in school in Ukraine, I loved IT. I was that kid who not only finished their own computer science assignments early, but also helped (okay, sometimes did) them for classmates. In return, they’d help me out with biology or something equally terrifying involving diagrams and Latin names. It was a pretty solid system, honestly.
Then I moved to Ireland — and surprise! I ended up going to three different schools here… and not a single one had computer science. Not even a little bit. That hit me harder than expected. It felt like something was just missing. So, I started teaching myself things at home. Nothing super serious at first — just messing around, building tiny projects, Googling stuff I barely understood, and falling in love with all of it.
When the time came to choose a university course, I genuinely didn’t know what to pick. I kept going back and forth, but deep down, I knew I couldn’t imagine life without code in it. So I put Computer Science as my first choice — and now, looking back, I’m so glad I did. It finally feels like I’m doing what I was meant to do (and no one’s asking me to trade it for help with biology anymore, thankfully).

Fun facts about me
Behind every game, there’s a creator with their own quirks, habits, and funny stories. In this section, I decided to lift the curtain a bit and share some fun facts about myself. Who knows, maybe you’ll discover something unexpected… or even see a bit of yourself!
